Cuetlaxóchitl [approximate Nahuatl word pronunciation: kwet-la-so-cheel] was grown in central México long before colonization (and before its later assigned name of “poinsettia”) in the magnificent gardens of Nezahualcóyotl and Montezuma.

This original handmade design was made in honor of December 8th, Mexico’s Día Nacional de la Nochebuena Cuetlaxóchitl.

This ornament, wall charm is 4.5 inches. wide.

    Since this item is for display as an ornament or wall hanging, the design is visible on one side. The felt used for all Tejas Folk Arts hand stitched items is either standard crafting felt of acrylic fibers and /or 100% polyester fiber made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles.
