Cuetlaxóchitl [approximate Nahuatl word pronunciation: kwet-la-so-cheel] was grown in central México long before colonization (and before its later assigned name of “poinsettia”) in the magnificent gardens of Nezahualcóyotl and Montezuma.
This original handmade design was made in honor of December 8th, Mexico’s Día Nacional de la Nochebuena Cuetlaxóchitl.
